Jammu Feb 03 :- Adv. Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor, JMC chaired 10th “Housing for All” & “Skill Upgradation & Self Employment” standing committee meetings in the conference hall of JMC.
Adv. Purnima Sharma during the meeting informed the Hon’ble Councillors regarding the ICICI Academy which will help in skill empowerment of the youth along with 85-90% placement and also a visit was proposed by the Hon’ble Chairman Housing for All and Skill empowerment and Self employment to Women Polytechnic College along with the members of the Skill Upgradation & Self Employment standing committee, where ICICI Academy is providing free training programs for the unemployed youth, so that the hon’ble Corporators can help in being the medium for the youth to enhance their skills and get jobs with their acquired skills.
During the meeting Hon’ble members of the standing committee raised many issues mentioned as follows :-
1) Additional 25 skc should be deployed for emergency VIP purpose.
2) Toilets should be constructed under the smart city project.
3) Extra supervisors need to be deployed in large wards
4) Grating greviences should be attended in a proper manner.
5) Notice should be given to all the malls and restaurants like wave, big bazar, vishal megamart and others for parking issue.
Also discussion and information was provided regarding CLC Jammu and issues were discussed regarding it.
During the meeting it was proposed that many rehris in the rehri zones and rehri vendors have been causing havoc by throwing garbage in the open nearby area, so in order to avoid these all rehri should have a dustbin along with them otherwise they will be penalized and also Rs 100 should be charged from all street vendors.
Issues regarding parking spaces of many shopping malls and restaurants including Anutham, Radisson Blu, wave mall and many more as outside many shopping malls the individual park their vehicles on road causing traffic and congestion issues on the roads, in this regard notices should be issued to them and they should be sealed.
Also Corporator Pritam Singh proposed that Bahu Fort temple should be brought under shrine board so that it can be properly maintained and kept clean and for this a letter shall be sent to the administration.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by the ACR JMC to the chair.
Hon’ble Councillors Sh. Amit Gupta, Sh. Pritam Singh , Sh. Surinder Choudhary, Sh. Suneet Raina, Sh. Sharda Kumari, Sh. Narrotam Sharma were present in the “Housing for All” and “Skill Upgradation & Self Employment” standing committee meeting along with the officials and representatives from JMC including Sh. Sudhir Bali Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Sh Ajeet Singh Joint Commissioner Works and officials from Housing Department, JUDA and JKHUDD departments were also present.
