Leh, Jan 31: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, RK Mathur, visited the Bactrian Camel Farm and the Primary Health Center (CHC) at Chuchot.
Director, Animal and Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Dr Mohammad Raza, briefed LG Mathur of the issues related to the Bactrian camels in Ladakh, including the need for their conservation. Bactrian camels are a major source of attraction at the Hunder sand dunes in the Nubra sub-division.
LG Mathur later visited the Primary Health Center at Chuchot. He inspected the overall infrastructure.
LG Mathur later visited the Choglamsar market to assess the availability of fresh vegetables and meat/chicken.
