Arrangements for Republic Day-2022 celebration reviewed at Kishtwar

Kishtwar, January 05: Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Sham Lal today reviewed arrangements for Republic Day-2022 celebrations in the district.

During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held with regard to all necessary arrangements to be put in place for smooth and successful celebration of Republic Day.

ASP Kishtwar Rajinder Kumar, Joint Director Planning, Mohd. Iqbal, ACR Kishtwar Akhter Hussain Qazi, ACD Kishtwar Kishore Singh Katoch, officers from CRPF, CISF, Army, Education, RDD, Forest, Youth Services and Sports, Municipality, PHE, R&B, PDD, Banks etc. besides other concerned departments remained present in the meeting.

ADDC directed the concerned officers to ensure that all arrangements including security, transport, sanitation, drinking water facility, power supply, medicare facilities, barricading, seating arrangement, refreshment etc are put in place well in time.

He further directed the concerned officers for illumination of government buildings and proper seating arrangements for smooth conduct of the Republic day celebration.

It was decided in the meeting that flag hoisting ceremony shall be followed by March past by the contingents of CRPF, CISF, J&K Police and NCC.

The site for flag hoisting shall be decided separately later on.

Besides, cultural programmes will also be presented by the artists, as well as school children with due observance of COVID-19 protection protocol.

Directions were passed to SDMs and Tehsildars of the various Sub Divisions, Tehsils and Niabats in the district to put in place all arrangements for the celebration of Republic Day in their respective jurisdictions.

He asked all the employees to remain present in the Republic day celebrations and exhorted the officers to work in tandem and maintain close coordination for smooth conduct of the national event.
