Anantnag, December 30: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla today chaired District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) meeting of Mumkin scheme in which 22 cases were sanctioned.
Speaking during the meeting, the DDC said that constitution of task force committees, sensitization of field functionaries and awareness camps have been instrumental in accelerating credit facilitation to the beneficiaries. He lauded the concerned officers for their perseverance and dedication towards dissemination of benefits through this scheme.
During the meeting, detailed discussion was also held regarding the issuance of letter of authority, subsidies, permission to small commercial vehicles besides progress and target achievements in other schemes being implemented by the concerned departments.
The DDC while reviewing the progress of various schemes in vogue stressed upon the officers to remove the bottlenecks if any to achieve the desired outcome.
While interacting with the aspiring entrepreneurs, the DDC observed that inclination of youth towards setting up income generating units is key sign towards increasing private participation in the development scenario. He said that public and private sector banks must facilitate youth for such private initiatives.
Assistant Director Employment Anantnag, Naushad Anjum, during the meeting informed the DDC that 99 cases have been sanctioned under Mumkin scheme in the district till date and Rs 22 lacs has been disbursed as subsidy till now. He added that in coming weeks, Rs 50 lacs will be disbursed among beneficiaries.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ADDC, CPO, LDM, AD Employment and other concerned officers.
