Doda, December 29: Artificial Insemination kits were today distributed among newly trained private AI workers by District Development Council Chairman Doda Dhananter Singh, here at Chief Animal Husbandry Office.
AI kits along with cryocanes cylinders were distributed among 13 trained youths of different blocks by the department of animal Husbandry as a step towards Atam Nirbhar Bharat aiming to encourage self employment among youth.
The trained paravets, MATRIs were also provided honorarium for first and 2nd year for their work by the department.
In addition, they are being paid for each calf born and AI done separately on a monthly basis.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman DDC said working of these trained AI workers/paravets in their area could help a lot to provide door step services of AI to the farmers.
Trained AI paravets also earn, which give self contentment to them, he added.
He advised the youth to work with zeal, enthusiasm and dedication and without any vested interest. Chairman lauded the role of the department and assured to take up the matter with authorities to revive the working of liquid nitrogen plant which has been defunct since long.
Highlighting the role of Paravets, the Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr Sanjay Sen said that the motto is to improve and to preserve the indigenous breeds by cross breed germplasm through by providing doorsteps AI service under Rashtriya Gokul Mission and to provide self employment to youth and to improve the rural economy .
