Budgam, December 22: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today held a daylong public darbar under the District Administration’s outreach programme at village Dharambugh in block B.K Pora.
On the occasion, DC called for cleaning of Doodganga Nallah stretch on war footing basis and directed concerned to ensure immediate lifting of garbage and other waste material dumped along bank side.
The DC instructed concerned to ensure there is no dumping and action including FIRs be lodged against the habitual offenders.
The progarmme was attended by ACD, ACP, CMO, CEO, BDO, CAHO, ADE and other concerned officers and officials. During the darbar, Sarpanchs, Panchs, village heads and other respected raised their issues and demands with the DC and demanded prompt resolution of their grievances.
The demands raised by the locals of Dharambugh- A, Dharambugh-B, residents of Kralpora and other adjoining villages who attended the programme included improvement in water and electricity supply, macadimization of main and link roads, SRTC bus service, establishment of Computer Institute, education and healthcare facilities, playground, construction of public park, bridges and other facilities to the locals.
After listening to the locals, DC issued on spot direction to the concerned to identify land for the establishments of Primary and Middle School facilities in Kralpora area on priority.
Directions were given to the concerned for holding a mega awareness camp for on spot resolution of grievances related to Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, besides, issues related to PM- Kissan, Aadhar and Election card are addressed on spot. He said during the camp concerned officers shall also apprise locals about schemes and their benefits.
Stressing on the sanitation, DC emphasized that separate dustbins are used for both bio and non-bio-degradable waste generated on daily basis for its proper disposal. He said that sanitation fee is collected from households and revenue generated is also used on sanitation maintenance by public themselves.
The DC further instructed PRIs to identify 5 youth from each Panchayat block for self employment under various schemes, besides a youth who can apply for vehicles under Mumkin scheme for picking and disposal of the garbage from the areas.
Later on, DC visited under- construction PHC and two under-construction culverts at Karlpora to take on spot stock of the work progress. The DC directed concerned to pace up the work process and ensure timely completion of all undergoing projects in the area.
