Good Governance Week campaign witnesses series of activities across Ramban

Ramban, December 20: District Administration Ramban, today launched a series of activities to improve public services delivery and addressing people’s issues especially pertaining to basic services and amenities both online and offline modes to mark the start of Good Governance Week (GGW) campaign.

Deputy Commissioner Mussarat Islam convened a meeting and reviewed the GGW Action plan formulated by the different departments. He directed the officers to resolve each and every grievance project by the public both offline and online mode.

The DC directed the officer to share each one’s success and best practices of the public service delivery system of their respective departments along Photos, videos and script.

Spreading mass awareness about the government schemes and facilitating people to avail online benefits of the same was also stressed.

ADC Harbans Sharma, Addl. SP Rajni Sharma, DSEO Ganesh Kumar, CEO, Executive Engineers, Dy. CMO and others attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, District Industries Centre (DIC) organized an awareness camp at Maitra to sensitise the youth about PMEGP and other schemes of industrial & service sectors.

District Employment & Counseling Centre also organized on-spot registration cum awareness camp and sensitised the youth about online services and schemes like Tejsawani and MUMKIN.

Likewise, the Labour Department conducted an on-spot registration drive under the e-SHRAM scheme and informed the labourers about the welfare schemes launched by the department for them.

Similarly, the Motor Vehicle Department conducted a checking drive on NH-44 at Seri and booked 16 vehicles for rash driving, overcharging and violation of other MVD rules.

Earlier, the Municipal Council Ramban launched a massive cleanliness drive for cleaning water bodies and springs in Ramban town. He informed them that the drive will continue during the Good Governance Week.
