Kulgam, December 16: The Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr. Bilal-Mohi -ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting of officers and banks to review the progress and implementation status of District Credit Plan.
The meeting held here at Rest House Chawalgam which was attended by CPO, LDM and officers from line departments besides representatives of banks also attended the meeting.
During the meeting it was informed that more than 35% of the PSL has been achieved by the district (ending Nov 2021) and under priority sector target of Rs 451.96 cr has been achieved against a target of Rs 1291.10 cr.
The DC passed strict instructions to the concerned to ensure achievement of the remaining targets.
All the line departments & banks were directed to put extra efforts and to work in close coordination and synergy to achieve these targets.
While reviewing the progress of different Government sponsored schemes departments who achieved targets were appreciated.
Emphasis was laid for improve lending in priority sectors and to clear pendcies of cases.
Banks and officers from line Departments were also urged to make the general public aware of various employment generation schemes and lend necessary support in providing hassle-free loans under Mudra, Housing, Education and other schemes.
