Jammu Dec 14 :- Dr. Kritima Kapoor, an alumnus and Gold medalist veterinarian of SKUAST-Jammu has been honoured as the best scientist for presenting her pioneer research work on buffalo in two days National Symposium of Indian Society for Buffalo Development ( ISBD) which was attended by more than two hundred scientists from all over the country.
Theme of the symposium focussed on “Scientific Interventions to Address the Challenges for Sustainable Buffalo Production” organized by College of Veterinary Sciences, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana. Dr. Kritima Kapoor is daughter of the soil and presently working as Assistant Professors of Veterinary Anatomy in GADVASU. As a faculty member of Department of Veterinary Anatomy, she gave a Power Point presentation on “Immunoexpression of macrophages in cyclic corpus luteum of buffalo” and was adjudged as the best by a committee of senior most veterinarians of the country.
She was honoured with a memento and a Certificate of Honour by Mr. K. S. Sangha, Managing Director, Millkfed, Punjab who was Chief Guest of the valedictory function and Dr. Parveen Malik, Animal Husbandry Commissioner, Punjab Government who was Guest of Honour in the august presence of Dr.Inderjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor of GADVASU and other luminaries of veterinary field from all over the country. Dr. Kapoor has earlier been honoured with Young Scientist Award.
