Sringar, December 10: A delegation of Managing Directors of several coaching institutes today called on Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan, at Civil Secretariat here and discussed various issues pertaining to quality education, reservation for economically weaker students and other issues.
The delegation, comprising MDs of Srinagar based institutes, apprised the Advisor of their issues and concerns seeking an early redressal to the same. They reaffirmed their commitment towards imparting quality education to students and to always remain at the forefront for betterment of student community.
Regarding reservation for poor students, the delegation demanded proper regulation and monitoring from the government side so that only deserving students will get a chance under the quota. They also demanded simplification of registration process for coaching institutes.
The delegation said that government should frame a policy to resolve all issues pertaining to functioning of coaching institutes.
They said that government should send the reservation quota of students eligible for free education to the coaching centres before start of the session so that they don’t miss on any subject matter.
Advisor gave a patient hearing to the issues raised by the delegation and assured them that all their grievances and demands will be looked into for redressal on priority.
Advisor also appreciated suggestions put forth by the delegation for further streamlining of education parameters saying that these will supplement endeavor of the administration towards imparting quality education to students.
