Udhampur, December 10: District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur, in collaboration with Health Department today organised an awareness programme for students of Government Higher Secondary School Tikri to mark the observance of World Human Rights  Day.

The event was held under the supervision of Rajni Sharma, Secretary DLSA (Sub-Judge).

The resource persons of the programme were Advocate Sanjeet Kumar and Advocate Nikhileshwar Singh.

Throwing light on the importance of the Day, the resource persons   informed the gathering about the importance of World Human Rights Day observed every year on 10th of December. This day is celebrated to spread awareness about the human rights, which are vital to the basic human existence. World over this day is observed to honour the united Nations general assembly’s adoption  and proclamation, of the universal declaration of human rights. The Secretary DLSA also threw light on the basic human rights.

The Principal of the School Ramesh Singh Slathia, thanked  Secretary DLSA Sub-Judge Rajni Sharma for organsing such a thought provoking programme in the school.

Similar programs were also organized by TLSC Ramnagar, TLSC Chenani and TLSC Majalta.
