DC Anantnag reviews proposal of revised Stamp duty rates for 2022

Anantnag, December 10: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla today chaired a meeting of Collectors to review the revised stamp duty rate proposal for the year 2022.

The respective Revenue officials apprised the DC that the stamp duty rates have been analysed and informed about the area wise percentage of changes in the rates in their respective areas of jurisdictions. They also apprised the DC about the reasons for changes in stamp duty rates.

A threadbare discussion was held on the rates received from the sub divisions for their compilation which shall be sent to the Div Com office for finalization.

The DC also reviewed the proposed rates for any discrepancies and directed subordinate offices to rectify any inconsistencies.

The meeting was attended by ADC Anantnag, SDM Bijbehara, representatives of Industries, Forest and Town Planning departments among others.
