Reasi, December 06: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Reasi Charandeep Singh today chaired a District Officers Meeting (DOM) to resolve issues faced by the departments in resolving the issues of public and achieving the Good Governance benchmarks.
He fixed Monday as special day for holding meeting with all district officers to practically realize the initiative of Good Governance after setting up a robust grievance redress mechanism. He said the departmental issues affecting ongoing schemes or projects shall also be resolved on this day.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ADDC Jyoti Rani Salathia; ADC Abdul Satar; CPO Sunita Kanchan; ACD Dr Anirudh Rai, PO ICDS, GM DIC and other district officers.
Threadbare discussion was held on the initiatives required to further synergize the working of departments to save the people from moving from one office to other to resolve their issues specifically related to basic amenities.
Passing a slew of instructions, the Deputy Commissioner asked all the officers to improve interdepartmental coordination and come forward voluntarily to resolve the confronting issues. He asked them to extend assistance to each other so that no issue of department or public remains unresolved.
He also instructed all the departments to nominate one nodal officer for keeping record of all such issues. The nodal officer shall also apprise and update the office head about the status of the issue from time to time till its final resolution, the DC added.
All the departments were asked to mobilize targeted beneficiaries for e-shram and health card schemes in the locations where registration process is being carried out by the VLEs on war footing. Instructions were also passed for taking help from PRI members for achieving cent percent targets.
Meanwhile, the DC also reviewed progress of capex budget and ongoing works under other schemes and mega projects. He instructed the officers to complete all works before the close of the financial year and also no delay shall be accepted at any cost, DC added.
Instructions were also passed for intensifying the IEC campaign regarding Covid Appropriate Behaviour to avert the threat of the new variant. The DC also stressed on intensifying the testing process in the entire district.
