Dist Admin Kulgam sanctions Rs. 7 lakh relief for kin of Covid victims

Kulgam, December 04: To provide relief to the kin of 14 Covid-19 victims of the district, the District Administration Kulgam today sanctioned relief to the tune of Rs. 7 lakhs among them.

It was informed by the authorities that the relief will be disbursed in favour of the families of COVID-19 victims through a transparent verification process via Aadhar linked Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

The Disaster Management Department was asked to obtain utilization certificates for the same and conduct an audit of the concerned accounts.

The Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat  also informed that The Next of Kin (NoK) of all those, 86 persons  who died of COVID -19 in Kulgam will get Rs 50,000 as an ex-gratia assistance and amount will be disbursed through Aadhaar linked Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) procedure.
