Ramban, December 02: Secretary, Cooperative Department, Yasha Mudgal who is also the Secretary incharge of district Ramban, reviewed the progress made by the different departments under Capex Budget, UT and centrally sponsored schemes here today.

Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam, ADC Harbans Lal, Addl. SP, Rajni Sharma, ACD Zameer Rishu, CPO, Dr. Kasturi Lal, CMO, CEO, CHO, CAO, CAHO, DSHO, Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti, JPDCL, REW, PWD and PMGSY besides various other District and Sectoral officers and officers of Railway and NHAI  attended the meeting.

The Secretary directed the District Administration to ensure e-office integration in all district offices to improve disposal of files to execute all development projects timely. She asked the DC to take frequent  meetings of District, Tehsil and Block level officers of key departments which are responsible to implement beneficiary, youth, women and farmers oriented schemes.

The Secretary directed all District and Sectoral officers to work in coordination with PRIs to strengthen three tiers PRI system to fulfill the infrastructural developmental needs of the people.

While reviewing the functioning of the Cooperative Department, the Secretary directed the Deputy Registrar Cooperative to organize frequent awareness camps across the district in coordination with District Administration to scale up the penetration of people especially womenfolk in formulating Cooperative societies.

The Secretary also asked DC to make the Cooperative Department vibrant besides preparing a road map to ramp up and rejuvenate the number of Cooperative Societies in the district to improve the status of rural economy.

The Secretary emphasized that the registration of new cooperatives and cooperative societies should be completed within a time frame. It was informed that several schemes like dairy farming, fruit cultivation, agriculture, horticulture, sheep and goat rearing; mushroom cultivation, tourism and connected programmes can be implemented through Cooperatives which shall act as a game changer for the educated unemployed youth.

Besides reviewing the CSS of Health Sector, the Secretary also took the stock of preparation for Covid containment if situations arise  in the district.   The DC informed her that all five Medical Oxygen plants are functional in the district and all Rural Covid Care Centres are equipped with necessary equipment and material.  She also reviewed the status of Covid testing and availability of Medical Oxygen and other emergency medicines to meet any emergency situations.

The Secretary also reviewed the physical and financial progress of various departments including Education, Social Welfare, Rural Development Department, Power, Health, Social Welfare, Education, Jal Shakti Department and other sectors.

The Secretary was informed by the concerned officers about the status of different ongoing and sanctioned projects of their respective departments. She directed the concerned departments to complete all 2300 works sanctioned under Area Development Fund of DDC, BDC and Panchyat.

The Secretary also directed the district administration to focus on employment generation programmes and to ensure quick disbursement of priority sector loans especially PMEGP to implement all financial assistance schemes meant for betterment of youth. She also directed the District Administration to club the e-Shram and other registration drives with Har Ghar Dastak drive to cover maximum population under the schemes of different sectors.

While reviewing the tourism sector, the Secretary directed the District Administration to follow the tourist village plan of the district under which 10 villages are proposed to develop all facilities relating to the tourism sector including road connectivity.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner gave a PowerPoint Presentation about the latest status of various important projects besides the achievements of different departments and also discussed the bottlenecks confronting progress on execution of projects.

The DC also apprised the Secretary about the physical and financial status of major development Projects taken up by various executing agencies and departments in the district.

Threadbare discussion was also held on key centrally sponsored schemes which are part of the District Development Plan and necessary directions were passed to the concerned to achieve tangible results.

Deputy Commissioner gave a detailed presentation of developmental activities of all departments besides ongoing national projects like Railway and widening of NH-44 being executed by the different agencies.

He also informed the Secretary about steps taken by the District Administration for the establishment of Display Board at prominent locations alongside NH-44.

The Secretary was also informed that land for Nari Niketan , Bal Ashram, Kendriya Vidayalas and JNV has been identified   besides area extension activities being carried out by the Agriculture and allied departments across the district.

Yasha Mudgal appreciated the Collector Land Acquisition, Railway (ADC), Ramban, Harbans Lal Sharma for completing the 100%land acquisition process for the 53 km part of  USBRL project going on in the district.

While reviewing the status of the National Highway Four Laning Projects, the Secretary directed the NHAI to ensure immediate installation of sign boards in Banihal- Qazigund tunnel and crash barriers, parapets and protection walls at all vulnerable locations from Nashri to Banihal to prevent road accidents.
