Doda, November 30: Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Dr R K Bharti today chaired the maiden meeting of the designated Mentor Secretaries of Youth Clubs here at the conference hall of DC office Doda.
The ADC apprised the participants about the district level initiative under which a young gazetted officer has been nominated as the Mentor Secretaries for the Youth Clubs to implement the unique initiative of the Govt of UT of J&K at grassroots level.
While underscoring the mandate of the Mentor Secretaries, the ADC asked them to initially submit the names of desirous youth who want to avail benefits under Berozgar se Swarozgar program. He said the programme aims to ensure coverage of youth of the district under self employment schemes of different nature being implemented by the government departments.
In addition to this, he asked the Mentor Secretaries to take periodical meetings with their assigned Youth Clubs and mobilize the club members to work at grassroots level to meet their aims and objectives. He said that their role is to act as a bridge between them and Administration.
Earlier, Assistant Commissioner Development Mohammad Idrees Lone informed the participants about the district level initiative and asked them to get themselves well acquainted about their role and responsibilities for the wide publicity and effective implementation of the unique initiative.
