Anantnag November 25: As a precaution to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases being reported from adjoining districts, the District Administration Anantnag today re-constituted joint tehsil level task forces comprising officials from Revenue and Police to ensure compliance to COVID appropriate behaviour in markets and other public places.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla said that although the district has achieved 100 percent vaccination, people must not put down their guard. He appealed to the people to continue to use masks in public places and observe social distancing.

He said that joint teams of officials from Civil Administration and Police have been activated in all Tehsils to ensure compliance of CAB. He also said that fines will be imposed on anyone found violating COVID protocol.

As a consequence, joint inspection teams could be seen carrying out IEC activities in various tehsils and making announcements appealing people to follow COVID Appropriate Behaviour. A fine of Rs 11,650 was also realized from violators and two shops were sealed.
