Rajouri, November 23 : Government Degree College at Darhal in Rajouri district of J&K on Tuesday organised a slogan writing completion on ‘Clean India’ theme.
Students prepared slogans related to motivational ideas for making India clean.
Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia, the Principal appreciated the students for displaying very effective ideas for making India Clean.
“The need of the hour is to clean water bodies such as rivers, lakes, and ponds. We can separate the dry and the wet wastes before discarding them from our homes. Segregation of biodegradable, recyclable, and other waste is very important” said Prof Sumresh.
“Always throw the trash in the dustbin. Try to carry a recycled paper bag. If you don’t find a bin, you can keep the waste in this paper bag and later dump it in a bin. Reuse plastic items. Make something creative out of it,” he added.
Prof. Sumnesh advised to prepare a compost pit at home and the plant waste from kitchen and the dead leaves can be used for compost. This will act as an excellent organic manure for the plants in the garden.
“India will flourish if all Indians come together and play their part in ‘Clean India’ drive. No government scheme has ever been successful without the cooperation of the citizens. The Clean India Mission is an important issue that needs our active participation” said Prof. Sumanesh.
A cleaner environment is essential to all of us. It is the first step towards prosperity. A cleaner nation attracts more tourists, and this is a direct input to its economy, he added.
