Jammu 19 nov: Today Gymnastics Association of Jammu and Kashmir chief patron Chander mohan Gupta mayor jmc in collaboration with J&K Sports Council under the aegis of Gymnastics Federation of India and J&K Olympic Association led by President Prof Ashutosh Sharma & Gen. Srcretary Dushyant Sharma is organising 56th Junior National Artistsic and 25th Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships first time ever in Jammu & Kashmir. In addition, we are also having National Trials for fourth edition of Khelo India Youth Games 2022.
Jammu & Kashmir has been fortunate enough to get a chance of organising the Junior National championships of Gymnastics at Jammu for the first time. It has been a team work of Gymnastics Association of J&K, Gymnastics Federation of India and J&K Sports Council. Many International Players, National Medalists Boys & Girls have confirmed to compete in this Championahips and We have received confirmation of around 600 players, Coaches & Managers from all states and UT’s of the country, around 100 technical officials, 60 representatives from Gymnastic Associations from whole country shall also be taking part in this prestigious Championships.
Gymanstics has remained a popular sport in J&K and gymnasts from Jammu & Kashmir have brought laurals by winning medals at National & International Level. This event is surely going to boost the morale of budding gymnasts of U.T. and complimented with facility upgradation during current regime under the Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha, Sh.Farooq Khan Advisor (F) to LG and Nuzhat Gul Secretary Sports Council, the game is surely bound to achieve a new high.
Next few days in Jammu we are going to witness a Gymnastic Carnival wherein sports lovers are going to get the opportunity to watch their favourite gymnasts from across India performing live.
Gymnastics Federation of India & The Organizing Committee of this Championships is also pleased to nominate Dr. Gurdial Singh Bawa as Competition Director (Artistic Gymnastics) Ms. Krupali Singh- Arjuna Awardee as Competition Director (Rhythmic Gymnastics) who will also be responsible for the Technical conduct of this Championships.
