Doda, November 18: To mark the celebration of 68th All India Cooperative week, Cooperative Department Doda today held a series of activities here in the Town Hall Building.
The programme was chaired by DDC chairperson Dhananter Singh Kotwal , while ADC , Dr Ravi Kumar Bharti was the Guest of Honour.
The programme was organised under the supervision of Dy Registrar Cooperative Adil Iqbal Lone.
Speaking on the occasion, the DRCS highlighted the achievements of the Department. A debate competition was also organised in which students from various schools participated.
Several members of Cooperative societies also spoke and highlighted the achievements and services provided to the general public.
The chairperson DDC emphasised on maximum involvement of the local unemployed youth in cooperative societies for creation of local employment. He stressed on reaping the huge potential of employment generation and revenue collection by opening new super bazaars, Dairy, Poultry and other stores at different levels through cooperative societies.
The Chairman also assured to provide full support to the cooperative societies in making them fully functional.
The program ended with the vote of thanks by the Deputy Registrar. The programme was also attended by Dr Sanjay Sen, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Doda; Shabir Ahmed Malik Tehsildar Doda and other officials of Cooperative Department and members of Cooperative societies.
