Ramban, november 16: Health Department Ramban, under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mohammad Fareed, organized various events to celebrate the National Newborn Week 2021.
As per the CMO, the National Newborn Week 2021 celebration events will be organized till 21st November across the district to reinforce the importance of newborn health as a key priority area of the health sector.
Speaking on the occasion, the CMO said that the theme of National Newborn Week for this year is “Safety, Quality, and Nurturing Care Birth Right of Every Newborn”.
He informed that Newborn Care Week is celebrated every year across the country from 15 November. The main aim to celebrate this week is to raise awareness about the importance of newborn care for improving survival and development of children.
He also unveiled an IEC drive for disseminating information about the National Newborn Week among mothers. The CMO informed that the National Newborn Week will be celebrated in all health blocks of the district.
