DC Kishtwar reviews achievements under District Capex Budget

Kishtwar, November 15: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting of the district officers to review the progress achieved on different works under the District Capex Budget 2021-22 and Centrally Sponsored Schemes.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishori Lal Sharma; Joint Director Planning, Mohammad Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kishore Singh Katoch; DPO Sunil Bhutyal; EO MC Kishtwar Tariq Balwan, CEO Kishtwar, CMO Kishtwar, Xens PHE and PWD  besides other concerned  attended the meeting.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed scheme-wise expenditure status of Area Developmental funds, Jal shakti, transport, social services, general services and other sectors.

During the course of the meeting, the district officers gave detailed presentations on the physical and financial progress of different works being executed under the District Capex Budget 2021-2022.

The meeting was informed that out of the total approved outlay of Rs 62026.27 lakhs for the year 2021-2022, Rs 12785.66 lakhs have already been released to the departments and the total expenditure upto the end of October 2021 stands at Rs 9302.76 lakhs.

Besides, the Joint Director Planning  apprised the chair that out of total 2281 works, Administrative Approval of 1808 work has been accorded and 1535 works have been tendered out so far, while 912 number of works are under execution and 12 works have been completed till date ,JDP informed.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed the district officers to accelerate the pace of work and expedite booking of expenditure. He further said that if any department fails to make expenditure of current budget, their funds in the next year budget will be reduced proportionately.
