Baramulla, November 12: In order to promote art talent among students as part of education by showcasing the artistic talent, the Education Department Baramulla held a district level Kala Utsav competition 2021 at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, here.

President Municipal Counsel Baramulla, Tauseef Raina was the chief guest on the occasion.

Kala Utsav is an initiative of the Ministry of Education (MoE) under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, to promote arts in education by nurturing and showcasing the artistic talent of school students at the secondary stage in the country.

A good number of students took part in this District Level event wherein top performers of Zonal Level event showed their art in different Categories including Singing, Painting, Dancing etc.

On the occasion, students were felicitated with awards who showed their best part of their talent in different categories of art.

After felicitating the talented students, President MC Baramulla while addressing the event said  that such activities in the schools create awareness about India’s cultural heritage and its diversity among students and other stakeholders.

District Information Officer Baramulla, Mudasir Hussain in his speech complimented the efforts of Education Department for organizing such events. He said that these kind of activities help in enhancing the various skills of the participants.

Chief Education Officer Baramulla GM Lone, various concerned officers besides students along with escort teachers, HOIs of various schools were also present on the occasion.
