Srinagar, November 12: The Director Rural Development Department Kashmir, Tariq Ahmad Zargar today inaugurated two days training programme for newly posted Block Development Officers at Directorate of Rural Development Kashmir.
The programme was organized by Regional Extension Training Centre Kashmir in collaboration with Directorate of Rural Development Kashmir.
The programme is aimed to acquaint the newly posted Block Development Officers with basic functioning of the Department and flagship programmes.
The thematic areas of training include Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP), Mission Antodaya Survey, Peoples Plan Campaign, 15th FCA, MGNREGA, PMAY and J&K Panchayati Raj Act.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director highlighted the role and responsibilities of Block Development Officers and the need to inculcate public friendly behaviour among them.
The Director stressed upon the officers to give priority to redressal of public grievances and ensure delivery of public services in a transparent and efficient manner and to involve Panchayat Raj Institutions in important decisions.
