DSEK refutes news item ‘No board examination for class 8th’

Srinagar, October 29: Taking strong note of the fake news item circulated on social media citing that there shall be no board examination for class 8th, the Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Dr. Tassaduq Hussain has strongly refuted the news item.

In a statement issued here, the DSEK today made it clear that all the schools have been instructed to conduct examinations of class 1st to 7th and 9th as per school Based Assessment Module. The mandatory instructions regarding the SOPs to be followed during the conduct of examinations have already been issued.

However, class 8th annual examination shall be conducted by JKSCERT & DIETS as per past practice. The examination schedule for class 8th shall be notified by JKSCERT accordingly, he added.
