Udhampur, October 29: District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur under the guidance of its Chairman, and overall supervision of Secretary Rajni Sharma (Sub-Judge) today organised a Webinar on “Domestic Violence Act and Matrimonial Disputes” in collaboration with District Social Welfare Department.
The event was held as part of the Pan India Awareness and Outreach Campaign launched under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
Resource persons Advocate Akhil Dubey and Advocate Mallikarjun Singh Slathia, Panel Lawyers of District Legal Services Authority Udhampur, explain the provisions of Domestic Violence Act and punishment for Domestic Violence Act.
They highlighted various Welfare Schemes launched by the Government for the betterment of Women and explained the causes and effects of matrimonial disputes
Later, the Secretary DLSA thanked all the participants and explained the importance of resolution of Matrimonial disputes by minimising domestic Violence cases. The programme was also attended by the staff of Social Welfare Department and Health Department. Similar programmes were also organized at TLSCs Ramnagar and Majalata.
