BJP organizes sports tournament to commemorate Pt. Prem Nath Dogra’s birthday as Khel Diwas

Jammu Oct 26 : Jammu & Kashmir, Bharatiya Janata Party, organized Kabaddi game under the sports tournament (Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Khel Pratiyogita) being organized by BJP Sports Cell which is further supported by Bab Jitto Sports Club at government primary school, Pouni chak.

BJP General Secretary Ashok Kaul was the chief guest on the occasion, while BJP District President Rajinder Singh Chib, Office Secretary Tilak Raj Gupta, Prabhari Shailja Gupta, Convenor Sports Cell Sunil Sharma, Dr. Makson Tickoo and other prominent BJP leaders were present on the occasion. Sanjay Sharma President of Baba Jitto Sports Club was also present.

Ashok Kaul while addressing on the occasion, praised the sportspersons on the occasion and said that the physical well being is very much important for the overall persona of a person.  He said that the present games are being conducted to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pt. Prem Nath Dogra who was himself a great sportsman and promoter of sportsmanship in the social and political activities as well. Birthday of Pt. ji which falls on 24th of October is celebrated every year as Khel Diwas and various games/ tournaments are conducted to mark the event with the felicitation of sportspersons, he said.

The promoters of the event told that 150 games will be conducted in the series till 25th of December the Sushasan Diwas celebrated on the birthday of former Prime Minister of India Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji.
