Reasi, October 25: Directorate of Tourism Jammu today organised a FAM Tour for Travel Trade Fraternity and Vloggers to district Reasi here as part of the Iconic Week Festival celebration.
The FAM TOUR is an attempt by the Directorate of Tourism Jammu and District Administration Reasi to promote Tourism activities in the District beyond Katra town.
The FAM tour was flagged off from Tourist Reception Centre, Jammu by Director Tourism, Vivekananda Rai, in presence of Assistant Director Tourism Katra Ambika Bali to the holy town of Katra. From there the group was flagged off to Reasi by Deputy Commissioner, Charandeep Singh.
The first stop of the FAM Tour was Aghar Jitto where the guests were welcomed by the local committee with Baba ji Kark and garlands. The second destination of the tour was Nau Deviyan Temple where guests were presented Mata Ki Chunni and undertook Kanya Poojan. They paid their obeisance at Baba Dansar and also performed Pooja.
Next at Dera Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, they visited the ancient Gurudwara and also had experience of camping with displayed rafts.
At Bhimgarh Fort, the next destination of their Tour, they were welcomed by Narsimbha, Dhol and traditional folk players.
The guests were mesmerised by the cultural performances by the local artists. They enjoyed the panoramic view of Reasi town from the Fort through Binoculars. The Fort was beautifully illuminated for the occasion. The guests enjoyed camping, Bonfire and Rural Tourism experience at Sujhandhar, which is being declared as a Tourist Village.
The bloggers covered the enchanting and scenic beauty in their lenses and will blog the same through their respective platforms. The travel trade fraternity was also thrilled by this FAM Tour and assured to offer special tour packages for promotion of these areas. The main objective of celebrating Week Long Iconic Festival is to promote far flung and virgin tourist destinations of Jammu Province.
Tomorrow, the guests would visit Bakkal Bridge which is the world’s highest railway bridge followed by a visit to Salal Dam and Chinkah village marking the end of the tour.
