MVD Samba recovers Rs 1.17 lakh fine from MV Act violators

SAMBA, OCTOBER 22: Enforcement Team of MVD today conducted a special checking drive here on different routes to book violators for loading overhanging and protruding iron rods on Vehicles.

Team seized 7 vehicles and challaned 15 others, while 23 were compounded   on spot under various sections of MV Act violations. A fine to the tune of Rs 117500 (One lakh seventeen  thousand five hundred) was recovered on spot and more than Rs 1 lakh fine is expected from the remaining challans.

The Enforcement Team was led by Assistant Road Transport Officer Samba Rehana Tabassum.
