Rajouri, October 10 : Enforcement Teams (ETs) in Rajouri district on Wednesday fined scores of violators of Covid-19 SOPs & have recovered a fine of Rs 26,700 taking the total amount fined to Rs 55,30,007 (since April 1, 2021).

The Enforcement officers urged the people to wear face masks and maintain physical distance besides taking Covid vaccination doses at their nearest Covid Vaccination Center.

Meanwhile, Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has congratulated the People of Rajouri district, District Administration & Health Care Workers for achieving 100% first dose Covid vaccination coverage.

On Wednesday, as many as 5141 persons were administered first (1749) and second (3392) Covid vaccine doses across the district.

Out of 1877 reports received today only one person was found Covid pos itive in the district, while there are 16 active cases in the district at present and 9 were recovered today and sent to homes.

Out of 16 active cases, 9 are in home isolation, and 7 were admitted to the hospitals & Triage including 1 in GMC Rajouri.

During the first & second waves 5,75,813 tests, including RAT (4,32,478) and RT-PCR (1,3,335), have been conducted in the district till Wednesday out of which 11261 were tested positive and 11008 recovered while 237 have died.

Meanwhile, to achieve the 100% vaccination target in the district, Rajesh Kumar Shavan DC has appealed to Sarpanches and Village Level Workers (VLWs) to aware the people about the vaccination through drum beatings

As per District media bulletin during the second wave of Covid-19 4,03,887 persons were tested for Covid-virus infection out of which 7388 were found active out of which 182 died, reports for 912 are awaited and 16 are still active.
