New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) In her packed schedule during week-long US visit, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to attend the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meeting in Washington besides annual meets of World Bank and IMF.
She will also meet the US Secretary of Treasury Janet Yellen and co-chair the 8th US-India Economic and Financial Partnership (EFP) dialogue.
As per the schedule, the Finance Minister would attend the roundtable with institutional investors in Boston on October 12. The following day, she would attend the FMCBG and roundtable with investors.
On October 15, the Finance Minister would participate in the World Bank Development Committee meeting and hold discussions with the World Bank President David Malpass.
One-on-one interactions with top CEOs are also on schedule. She would share the reforms carried out by the government and invite investors to come to India to become part of the country’s growth story.
Moody’s Investors Service last week upgraded India’s rating outlook to stable from negative in a major pull for global investors.
The Finance Minister’s US tour has come close on the heels of Prime Minister Narendra Modi visiting the country and meeting and the Chiefs of Qualcomm, Adobe, First Solar, General Atomics and Blackstone.
Sitharaman will fly back to Delhi on October 18.
