COVID-19 decline: Of 28 COVID designated hospitals in Jammu, 21 have no patients

Srinagar, Aug 28 : As the cases of Covid-19 are on decline, most of the Covid-19 designated hospitals in Jammu don’t have a single positive patient admitted.

As per the details available with the news agency—of 28 Covid designated hospitals in Kashmir, 21 have no Covid positive patient admitted.

As per the data, till August 26, just 16 Covid positive patients are admitted in seven hospitals in Jammu, among them 12 are on isolation beds while four are on ICU beds.

There are 2423 Covid designated beds available in Jammu including 2019 isolation beds and 404 ICU and among them 2007 isolation beds and 400 ICU beds are vacant.

Pertinently, out of around 345 active positive cases, just 16 are in hospitals while the percentage of hospitalisation is around 4.6 percent in Jammu division.

Notably, the bed occupancy which was almost 100 percent in the month of May has just reduced to 0.66 percent in the Jammu division.

Furthermore, active cases in the Jammu division include 96 from Jammu, 11 from Udhampur, 43 from Rajouri, 87 from Doda, 11 from Kathua, 03 from Samba, 52 from Kishtwar, 27 from Poonch, 04 from Ramban and 11 Reasi.

No district in Jammu division has active cases over 100 as of now, while in Kashmir, only Srinagar has over 100 active cases.

The active cases in J&K were over 50, 000 in May month which has now come down to around 1100 in the erstwhile state—(KNO)
