Kulgam, Jul 26: A gunfight has been broke out between militants and security forces at Aherbal area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday, police sources said.
Police sources told news agency—, that a joint team of Police, Army’s 62 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation after “specific inputs” about presence of militants in Aherbal.
“As the security forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter. Exchange of fire is going on, ” they said.
