KARGIL, JUNE 10, 2021: In order to discuss the alterations needed to be made in various proposed schemes/ works under the District Capex Budget 2021-2022 in view of the general observations raised by the Planning Development and Monitoring Department UT Ladakh, Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan convened a meeting of the Executive Councilors and concerned officers at the Council Secretariat Kargil here today.
Executive Councillor for Social Welfare Aga Syed Hassan Armaan Mosavi, Executive Councillor for Works Aga Syed Abbas Razvi, Executive Councillor for Health Mohsin Ali, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Chief Planning Officer Kargil Abdul Hadi besides other concerned officers were present during the meeting.
Keeping in view the general observations raised by the Planning and Development Department UT Ladakh, it was decided during the meeting that works like the distribution of power tiller/weeder sets, vending cart/plastic whell, power rippear/grass cutter and portable IP sets under Agriculture Sector, purchase of livestock/birds and establishment of dairy units under the Animal Husbandry Sector and revival of cooperatives societies will be kept under the subsidy component.
As regards to the works like Tanker Service under PHE Sector, fuel charges of central heating system for District Hospital Kargil and CHC Sankoo, Chiktan Drass and Padum in Health Sector, grant share capital under Education Sector, grant in aid to MC Kargil, conduct of Ice Hockey Championship, Archery championship at Zanskar and celebration of national functions, the meeting decided that that issue will be taken up with the UT Administration Ladakh for a one time relaxation with proper justifications to incur expenditure on these works from the District Capex Budget 2021-2022.
The CEC however stressed that the District Capex Budget in future should be formulated strictly as per the guidelines of the Planning Development and Monitoring Department Ladakh.
Regarding the nomenclature of Master Plan Zanskar, Kanji Nallah, Wakha Nallah etc., CEC Khan directed that the plans should be formulated in a proper manner with specific RD details.
