Jammu, May 01 : To rationalisation hospital needs under ‘Triage’, the Divisional Administration Jammu has set-up treatment protocol for COVID-19 positive patients and also notified non-COVID hospital for general treatments.
As per a circular, a copy of which lies with the news agency— the divisional administration has issued protocol of COVID-19 positive patients to be managed in the Level-1 designated COVID hospitals.
All the COVID patients have been asked to report Chest Diseases Hospital, Jammu where Nodal Officer from Director Health Services and Medical Superintendent, Chest Diseases Hospital, Jammu are responsible for triage of patients to referral hospitals on Category-1 or Category-II as per medical care needs of the patient.
As per the circular Government Medical College, Jammu has been designated as Category-I while Chest Diseases Hospital, Jammu, MCH Gandhinagar, Jammu and Old Block, Gandhinagar Hospital, Jammu as Category-II hospitals.
As per the circular, COVID positive patients of Obst. & Gynae referred from Peripheral Health Institutions should be treated at Old Block, Gandhinagar Hospital, Jammu.
“COVID positive patients of Obst. & Gynae referred from SMGS Hospital, Jammu at MCH Gandhinagar, Jammu, Dialysis of COVID positive patients requiring Level-I care at HDU Ward of GMCH, Jammu, Dialysis of COVID positive patients not requiring Level-I care at Old Block, Gandhinagar Hospital, Jammu, COVID Positive Children upto 18 years at MCH Gandhinagar, Jammu.”
The circular states that COVID positive patients referred from Peripheral Health Institutions and requiring Surgical interventions to Old Block, Gandhinagar Hospital, Jammu while COVID positive patients admitted in GMC and Associated Hospitals, Jammu requiring Surgical interventions to MCH Gandhinagar, Jammu.
Administration also notified Non- COVID care hospitals for routine treatments which includes Super Specialty Hospital, Jammu, SMGS Hospital, Jammu, Govt. Hospital, Sarwal, Jammu, Sub District Hospital, Kot Bhalwal, Sub District Hospital, R.S. Pura and Sub District Hospital, Akhnoor.
“The Treatment Protocol has been finalised after due deliberations with deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Principal, Govt. Medical College, Jammu and Director Health Services, Jammu and shall remain in force till further orders and shall be subject to change based on period in case assessment of the evolving COVID-19 situation,” the circular reads—(KNO)
