COVID-19: 3 deaths; 103 new positive cases reported in UT Ladakh

Leh, May 01: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh last night, a total of 103 new positive sample reports of Covid-19 were received yesterday. Out of the total positive reports, 80 reports were received by CMO Leh and 23 positive sample reports were received by CMO Kargil.

 

With the death of three more patients from Covid-19 reported by CMO Leh yesterday, the total number of deaths in UT Ladakh has reached 143; 99 in Leh and 44 in Kargil.

 

The bulletin further details that UT Ladakh has discharged 247 patients yesterday. Out of which 231 patients were discharged by CMO Leh and 16 patients were discharged by CMO Kargil. With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has come down to 1450; 1328 in Leh district and 122 in Kargil district.

 

The bulletin further informs that 776 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh yesterday. While 48 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltsi check post on Thursday.
