KARGIL MARCH 13 ,2021: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tsering Motup and Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), Kargil Khadim Hussain among 8 Frontline Workers, 897 persons of 60 and above 60 years besides 224 persons above 45 years with co-morbidities were inoculated against COVID-19 at different vaccination sites across the district here today.
Meanwhile, 26 Health Care Workers received the 2nd shots of the COVID-19 vaccine while 23 Health Care Workers were also given the 1st dose of COVID-19 vaccination.
As per the details made available by the District Immunization Officer (DIO),Kargil Dr Muhammad Abbass,256 senior citizens were given the 1st dose of COVID-19 vaccine at Kargil Block while 195 received the vaccine shots at Sankoo Block. He further informed that 142 persons above 60 years were inoculated at Zanksar Block, 133 senior citizens at Shargole Block, 79 at Tai Suru Block, 74 at Drass Block and 28 senior citizens at Chiktan Block were also given the 1st dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
As regards to the details of persons above 45 years with co-morbidities inoculated during the day, the DIO informed that 70 such persons were given the 1st dose of COVID-19 vaccine at Kargil Block followed by 50 at Drass Block, 39 at Chiktan, 32 at Tai Suru ,27 at Shargole, 25 at Zanskar and 1 person at Sankoo Block respectively.
Meanwhile, despite snowfall in some areas including Drass and Tai Suru, 738 beneficiaries were given the 1st shot of the COVID-19 vaccine while 37 Healthcare Workers were inoculated with the 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccination at different vaccination sites in the district on Friday.
