Leh, Feb 13: Deputy Commissioner Leh & Chairman District Water Sanitation Mission (DWSM) Leh, Sachin Kumar Vaishya chaired a meeting to review the progress of work under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) today.
Superintending Engineer (SE), PWD; Executive Engineer (XEN), PHE; Divisional Forest Officer, Chief Medical Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, and Assistant Director Information who are members of DWSM attended the meeting. There was a discussion on the detailed project reports (DPRs) on around 45 ongoing water supply works in different villages of Leh district.
Chairman DWSM Sachin Kumar stressed the need for proper implementation of the JJM scheme to provide uninterrupted water supply in near future in the district. Post discussion, he directed officials of the concerned departments to work in coordination with other agencies involved in the JJM scheme. He also directed them to monitor the progress of work under the JJM scheme.
