Jammu, Feb 8 : An “intruder” who was heading towards a border post in Samba sector of Jammu region was today shot at and killed by the BSF men, officials said today.

In a statement to news agency— a BSF spokesman said that on February 8, at about 9:45 am, ever vigilant BSF troops observed a “Pakistani intruder heading towards BSF fence near BP No 64 in area of BOP Chak Faquira, Sector Samba, Jammu.”

“Despite repeated warnings, intruder kept moving under suspicious circumstances and approached fencing in an aggressive manner towards fence and was fired upon by BSF troops. The body of Pakistani intruder presently recovered,” the BSF spokesman said.

He said that it may be recalled that a Pakistani intruder was killed in the same area on November 23, 2020. “A tunnel was also detected in this area recently. Search of the area in progress,” the BSF spokesman said. Details to follow—(KNO)
