Chairman LAHDC Leh unfurls the tricolour at the Council Secretariat on Republic Day

Leh, 26, Jan 21: LAHDC, Leh celebrated India’s 72nd  Republic Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Leh Advocate Tashi Gyalson unfurls the national flag at the Council Secretariat for the first time after taking charge as the chairman of LAHDC, Leh.

Among present on the occasion were Dy. Chairman Tsering Angchuk, Executive Councillor for Minority affairs, Ghulam Mehdi Ashoor, Executive Councillor for Rural Dev. Dept. Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, Executive Councillor for Agriculture, Stanzin Chosphel, Councillors,  Deputy Commissioner/CEO LAHDC, Leh, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Private Secretary/OSD to Chairman LAHDC, Leh, Jigmet Raftan, CCF LAHDC, Leh, Jigmet Namgyal, Councillors and staffs of the Council Secretariat, LAHDC Leh.

In his message, CEC Gyalson extended his warm greetings on the occasion of 72nd Republic Day celebration. He conveyed his greetings especially to the frontline warriors and health workers for their tremendous efforts in fighting against the Covid 19 pandemic. CEC Gyalson also conveyed his heartiest greetings to the brave soldiers of the paramilitary forces and Ladakhi students studying across the country.

CEC Gyalson assured government’s timely assistance in the upliftment of the weaker sections and issues of unemployment among the youths. He expressed immense happiness over the participation of Union Territory of Ladakh’s tableau at the Republic Day parade on Rajpath for the first time today and said that getting a chance to depict Ladakh’s rich heritage at a national platform will recognise and solidify our unique identity across the world.
