Leh, Jan 21: A total of 360 beneficiaries, including healthcare workers, have been inoculated against COVID-19 in UT Ladakh to date. The first phase of COVID-19 vaccination commenced in UT Ladakh from January 16.

The COVID-19 vaccination drive was inaugurated by Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of UT Ladakh in the presence of Chairman, LAHDC Leh, and Member of Parliament, Ladakh, on January 16 at Ladakh Heart Foundation. Similarly, 110 and 49 healthcare workers were inoculated at PHC Tangtse and District Hospital, Kargil respectively, on January 18.

A total of 121 beneficiaries, including 59 at PHC Nyoma and 62 at CHC Padum, received shots of COVID-19 vaccine on January 20.

The COVID-19 vaccination drive would be carried out at Sub-District Hospital (SDH), Diskit and District Hospital, Kargil on January 22 followed by inoculation of beneficiaries at CHC Khaltse and CHC Sanku on January 23.
