Leh, Jan 20: COVID-19 vaccines were given to healthcare workers at and Community Health Centre (CHC) at Padum in Zanskar today. Phunchok Tashi, Executive Councillor, Tourism, LAHDC Kargil, inaugurated the COVID-19 vaccination drive.

Similarly, a total of 101 healthcare workers received a shot of COVID-19 vaccine at Primary Health Centre (PHC), Nyoma in the first phase of the COVID-19 vaccination drive. Dental Assistant, Ishey Wangail was the first healthcare workers to be inoculated at PHC Nyoma. A total of 101 beneficiaries received the shot of COVID-19 vaccine, including 90 healthcare, ASHA and Anganwadi workers, and 11 ITBP personnel.

The vaccination drive took place in the presence of Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Nyoma, Dorjay Gailson and Block Medical Officer (BMO) Nyoma, Dr Dolma Chuskit. Certificates were given to beneficiaries of the COVID-19 vaccine.
