Five new positive cases, one death report in UT Ladakh; Six patients cured and discharged

Leh, Jan 20: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh last night, five persons tested positive for COVID-19. All the positive sample reports were received by CMO Leh, out of 05 Positive sample reports, 03 Positive sample reports were
detected from COVID LAB LEH, 01 Positive sample report was detected from TRUE NAT and 01 Positive sample report was detected from RAT.

With the death of one more patient from Covid-19 in Leh district, the total deaths of UT Ladakh have reached to
129. Out of which 85 deaths are from Leh and 44 deaths are from Kargil district.

The bulletin further details that UT Ladakh has discharged 06 patients yesterday and all of them were discharged by CMO Leh. With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has come down to 79; 76 in Leh district and 03 in Kargil district.

The bulletin further informed that 507 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh yesterday. While 19 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, tankers, and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltsi check post on Sunday.
