University of Jammu may release first merit list of PG courses on 25th January

Jammu | 19-Jan: Students applying for admission to post graduate courses of Jammu University have got their eyes on the first merit lists. The first open merit lists are being prepared in various departments of the university. The schedule of merit lists will be released in a day or two.  The first merit lists can be released on 25 January. This proposed date has been set. More than 9 thousand students have applied online for admission in PG courses of Jammu University. The date of amendment in the online application forms has ended the previous day.

The admission process is underway in 40 postgraduate courses of Jammu University. Merit lists of reserved categories will be released after the open merit lists are published. After that, the merit lists will be issued for the seats of self-finance. Dean of Academic Affairs Prof. Naresh Padha said that due to COVID-19, the undergraduate exams of the sixth semester were delayed and the result was delayed as well. Due to this, admission in PG courses is also delayed.

It is true that the academic session is delayed by six to seven months. We usually have PG admissions by August. Jammu University will prepare a plan to complete the course faster. By the middle of February, new classes will be held, otherwise, in January, the first semester examinations are held. Students have shown great enthusiasm for admission in PG courses. More than four times the application forms have been filed against the seats.
