Leh, Jan 16, 2021: The Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson unveiled the Leh Vision Document (LVD) 2030 in a meeting at the DC-Conference hall.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk along with Executives Councillors, Councillors, Deputy Commissioner Leh, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, district officers (HODs), municipal ward members and representatives of Ladakh Ecological Development Group (LEDeG).
CEC Gyalson in his introductory speech congratulates the entire team of LVD-2030 for their tremendous effort in bringing out the document in its final form. He said that this document would resonate with the people of Leh town, especially after the mass public consultation meetings that LAHDC conducted in almost municipal wards.
CEC Gyalson directed all the officials that the document must not merely remain just a document, but the recommendations made in the document must be implemented on the ground. He paid his gratitude to former CECs, late Dr Sonam Dawa Lonpo and late Dorjey Motup in laying the framework for Leh Vision-2030.
Project Manager, LEDeG, Stanzin Kunzang gave a brief presentation on the Leh Vision Document 2030 and apprised the Chair that the vision document is aimed towards making Leh a happy, resilient and a liveable town.
Director, Urban Local Bodies, Dr Zahida Bano in her note of thanks highlighted that this document will help as a beacon of hope to put Leh town on the right track of development in the coming decade.
