Leh, Jan 13:  Commissioner Secretary, Health, Rigzin Samphel convened a meeting to assess the preparation of COVID-19 vaccination drive for the frontline workers, at the Secretariat today.

The meeting was attended by both the Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, of Leh and Kargil districts; Joint Director, ITBF, Ladakh; DIG, ITBP; Senior Superintendent of Police, Leh/Kargil; AIG Personnel, Ladakh Police; Director Health Services; Chief Medical Officer, Leh/Kargil; Deputy Commandant, CRPF, Ladakh; Deputy Commandant, CISF, Ladakh; Executive Officer, MC, Leh/Kargil; In-charge Immunisation Officer, Ladakh, and representatives of GOC 14 Corps.

In-charge Immunisation Officer, UT Ladakh, Dr Tashi Namgail, informed the Commissioner Secretary Health about the allocation of 11,500 doses by the Government of India (GoI) to UT Ladakh for the 1st Phase of the COVID-19 vaccination starting from January 16.

Commissioner Secretary Health also instructed all the agencies to update the list of frontline workers for the 2nd round of vaccination by January 17. He also wished luck to all agencies for a successful vaccination drive.
