Kupwara: Army today recovered a civil Alto (JK 09 B 8840) which skidded off and toppled into a nala in Bangam Village of Halmatpura at around 2 PM on 23 Dec 2020.

On receiving call on Army Help Line Number of nearest Army post, teams including medical persons and recovery mechanics reached the spot. The passengers were out of danger with minor injuries.

Army teams mobilised the villagers around to help in recovery efforts and with great efforts recovered the vehicle by 4 PM.

Akthar Hussain Rana, the owner & the co-passengers expressed that “If Army was not there or did not respond to such accidents in far-flung villages, It would have costed them dearly in terms of money to recover the vehicle that too after 4 to 5 days”. The passengers and the villagers expressed deep gratitude for immediate response and dedicated efforts by the Army as if it was their own vehicle & thanked for being there in every need as a true friend of Awam.
