Kupwara: In continuation of its efforts to build stronger bonds, relationships and also give an opportunity to the children from Far Flung area of Lolab, 28 Rashtriya Rifles organised a picnic for children thus fulfilling the much awaited demand of the locals. Keeping the prevailing COVID situation in mind and following all guidelines, the picnic was organised at Urni Nar in which more than 15 children participated.
The children were served with refreshments and also given Masks having pictures of super heroes and cartoon characters embossed on it which they loved wearing.
Games and other playful activities were also organised to constructively engage the children which they thoroughly enjoyed alongside the natural water body. Finally the children were shown movie in the COB as most children have not seen television till date being a very backward area with No Electricity.
It was an extremely wonderful and educative experience as mentioned by their parents. They also thanked Army for providing such an opportunity allowing them to interact with so many people in uniform. Local populace expressed their gratitude towards the Army. Such efforts will certainly be a push towards sustained overall relationship between AWAM and Jawan thus providing more such avenues for people of Wadi-e-Lolab in future.
