Pulwama, Oct 15 : Unknown gunmen on Thursday evening shot at a former militant in Kakapora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

An official told  that an ex-militant identified as Tanveer Ahmad Sofi (30), son of Ghulam Muhammad Sofi of Sofi Mohalla Kakapora was shot at near J&K Bank Kakapora.

He added that Tanveer received bullet injuries and was shifted to hospital for treatment where his condition is said to be critical.

He added that he was affiliated with Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and later surrendered. He was later engaged in Sericulture department, officials said, adding that the forces reached the spot and cordoned off the area to nab the attackers—(KNO)
