Jammu, Oct 11: A Border Security Force (BSF) personnel and an Army man were injured in cross-border shelling in Sunderbani sector in Jammu and Kashmir, officials.

Panic gripped the villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch and Sunderbani sectors after Pakistan Army resorted to firing artillery guns.

Officials told  that ceasefire violation took place in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri twice which includes from 01 PM to 03 PM and then from 06 PM which was said to be going on when the report was last filed.

They informed that a BSF man and an army man have also received injuries during the cross-border firing in Sunderbani sector.

Similarly, in Poonch sector areas, cross LoC firing and shelling started at about 06 PM and was going on when last report was last received.

“In both sectors small arms and 82 mm and 120 mm mortars are being used. Pakistan Army has created panic among the people living closer to the sectors,” the officials added—(KNO)
